This farm girl left the beautiful Valley for the big city. She graduated from VCU where she met a lot of folks unlike her people at home…and loved it.

Freda Shaver is a long time art director and designer with a CV that would bore you to tears. (Yes, it’s that long!) She’s finally free to pursue her passion for fine art, away from the constraints of all those silly clients.

Leaving behind her first love of glass blowing, Freda has now delved into printmaking and is exploring various mediums.(Some of which are only explored once!) Her work is driven by concept, guided by her sense of design, and honed by her long career in advertising.
